On 8th July the Chancellor announced a temporary reduction in SDLT.
For properties purchased after 8th July and before the 1st April 2021 you only start to pay SDLT on the amount you pay for the property over £500,000. Up to that figure there will be NO SDLT payable – ZERO! For more information about this click here for our previous news blog.
It has been announced that MPs will debate an extension to the Stamp Duty Holiday following an online petition. The debate will take place on Monday 1st February at 4.30pm.
