We are supporting the Martin House Hospice Accumulator Challenge by participating in five activities throughout the month of March to raise much needed funds for our Charity of the year, Martin House Hospice.
We are aiming to raise £500, this will fund a parent support group where the mums and dads can relax, try new activities and share their experiences. The opportunity to do something for themselves is few and far between for parents with a child who has a life limiting condition.
Our participants have been split into two teams each with five members:
Team 1: John Walker, Helen Burrows, Alison Munro, Bev Miller and Emma Hartley
Team 2: Jade Cooper, Amanda Alden, Annie Alden, Lucy Took and Hannah Adams.
An overview of the activities are as follows:
Week 1: a 30 minute skipathon.
Week 2: a stair climb of 428 flights of stairs over the week, this represents the amount of children Martin House supported last year.
Week 3: a cycle relay clocking up 50 miles in the week.
Week 4: an easter themed raffle.
Week 5: a virtual pub quiz hosted by Guest Walker.
