How much will your matter cost?

Fixed and capped fees

Open-ended hourly rates are a thing of the past at Guest Walker & Co.  We understand that everyone works to a budget and needs to know what their legal advice is going to cost.  In every case, where possible, we will try to give you a fixed fee.  In complex cases (where this is not possible) we will agree a budget with you for your legal fees and keep within it.

In family work fees can be less easy to quantify and we therefore provide you with costs estimates and monthly bills to provide you with control over your legal expenses in your matter.

Tendering for commercial work

We are happy to tender for legal work if you are inviting Solicitors’ firms to pitch for your business.  This would include preparing a written job analysis for the specific piece of work and, if appropriate, making a presentation.

Legal Aid

The firm holds a franchise for Legal Aid work in family and matrimonial matters.  If you need our help in these areas and feel that you may qualify for Legal Aid, please speak to a member of our matrimonial team or to one of their secretaries.

Legal Advice Clinic

We hold a clinic on Thursday afternoons for clients with matrimonial or family problems.  Each session, which is an introductory session, is free and lasts for half an hour.  It enables you to decide if you need further legal advice and assistance.
