Licensing

The licensing laws in this country were fundamentally changed by the 2003 Licensing Act, which came into effect in 2005.  We now have a regime that is largely run by local authorities – not the Magistrates Courts – and revolves around a dual system of licensing – personal licences and premises licences.

Unfortunately, this hasn’t made life any easier for many people and professional advice is often essential, whether you’re wanting to sell hot food and drinks after 11pm, provide entertainment or just sell alcohol.  The consequences of making a mistake here can be catastrophic, which is why using our very experienced licensing team makes so much sense.  You name it (club certificates, temporary event notices, pavement licences?) – we can do it.

Just call Nicky Goodman or John Walker for a chat.  They’ll be happy to discuss your requirements without charge and then agree a definite fee structure to suit you if you do need our help.
